Job description

The human brain is the most complex object in the universe, yet society has accepted one-size-fits-all approaches to cognition. The “solutions” (think coffee, energy drinks, and even a friend’s Rx) were mediocre at best and, frankly, made no sense to us. So, we created Thesis, the world’s first customized nootropics company. If you’ve never heard that word before, it’s just a fancy way of saying brain supplements. In five years, most will be taking nootropics on a daily basis, and chances are, they’ll be ours.

With an exceptional efficacy rate, the world has taken notice — we’ve raised over $13M in venture capital, garnered interest from leading neuroscientists and athletes, and established ourselves as the industry’s leading brand. Now, we’re looking for incredible people to help us share the gift of enhanced cognitive function with the world. If you’re looking to be a part of a movement — one that involves both immense self-growth and an ambitious mission to pioneer an industry — we’d love to have you on the team.

About The Role

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, hard-working Executive Assistant who knows how to organize, prioritize, and set our CEO up for success every day. In this role, you will work directly with our founder/CEO, and your hours will mirror his working hours in office, 4-5 days per week. You'll touch all areas of the business, and will have a pivotal impact on the direction of the company and the opportunity to be a part of a life-changing, category-defining brand.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Inbox Management: Diligently manage inbound, outbound, and follow-up messages of the CEO's company email. Adapt to the voice and tone of the CEO for eventual autonomous email management.
  • Calendar and Schedule Management: Efficiently manage the CEO's personal appointments, dinners, and company schedules.
  • Daily Priorities Preparation: Help the CEO maintain efficiency by creating a list of tasks requiring attention and preparing documents for review ahead of meetings.
  • Meeting Notes Synthesis: Transform meeting notes into actionable tasks and projects with clear timelines. Schedule dedicated time on the calendar and oversee project management until completion.
  • Diverse Support and Research: Provide support across the organization, ranging from assisting with fundraising to troubleshooting Slack notification settings.
  • General and Project Management: Support the team with general management tasks and assist in coordinating and tracking projects and deliverables.
  • Office Management: Oversee various office management tasks, including supplies inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
  • Cultural Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by serving as a cultural leader within the organization.
  • Happy Hours and Offsites: Aid in planning and organizing team-building activities, such as happy hours and offsite events.

We're Excited About Your:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as an Executive Assistant or a related role.
  • Work autonomously and take charge of tasks with minimal oversight or onboarding, demonstrating a quick understanding of requirements and proactively finding solutions.
  • Drive the implementation and maintenance of new ways of working, eagerly seeking opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity across the organization.
  • Attitude of ownership, accountability, and direct transparent feedback: not afraid to push back if the priorities aren’t in the right order!
  • Technologically adept and patience for those who are not: above average typing speed, ability to work across multiple platforms to complete tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exemplary follow-through and process/project management.
  • Advanced organization and communication skills.

Our Values:

  • Meet Your Potential:At Thesis, we create opportunities for personal and professional growth. We reward hard work, dedication, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We believe in open and honest feedback to help us continually learn and improve. In return, we are committed to providing the resources, support, and guidance for our team to achieve their ambitions and meet their potential.
  • Own Outcomes:We are driven by achieving meaningful results, both for our customers and our business. We’re proactive, conscientious, and take responsibility equally in times of triumph and challenge. We also operate with a sense of urgency because we want to seize the opportunity to create a new category and bring nootropics to everyone who needs them.
  • Lead with Science and Data:We are obsessed with data to understand our impact, and always seek the truth through objective metrics that help us make informed decisions. Science and evidence underpin everything we do, from product formulation to marketing claims. We’re committed to making the highest quality nootropics on the market and measuring our efficacy.
  • Create Exceptional Experiences:We are committed to creating a work environment that fosters a unique culture and deep sense of belonging. We create exceptional experiences by showing up for each other, giving each other the benefit of the doubt, and building an inclusive and warm environment—in and outside of the office. We’re equally committed to showing up for our customers by delivering a thoughtful and impactful experience for anyone who tries one of our products.

A Few of Our Perks and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation with an exceptionally generous equity package
  • ???? Health, dental, and vision plans with HSA, FSA and pre-tax commuter benefits for parking and transit
  • 401k to help you plan for the future
  • Unlimited PTO and hybrid work schedule because we respect the need for work/life harmony
  • ️ $100 monthly wellness stipend for your well-being (e.g., massage, cryotherapy, psychedelic therapy, etc.)
  • A strong emphasis on promoting from within and personal development
