The Executive Assistant is an individual that is crucial to the success of an Executive’s ability to lead. Under a moderate level of guidance and direction, the Executive Assistant will perform administrative duties such as scheduling, drafting, editing, and typing complex reports, developing, implementing, and maintaining appropriate office protocol and organization. Arrange meetings, schedule appointments, complete travel arrangements and maintain personal appointment book for department. Performs a range of straightforward assignments related to discipline. This position will be expected to competently execute day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned by various department staff and assist with a variety of departmental projects.
The position must support an officer in order to be considered for a Level 2. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. Requires specialized secretarial skills such as office management, statistical typing and accounting skills generally obtained in the first two years of college or technical/business school or equivalent.
Requires at least six years of experience. Level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement
Minimum 26.51/hour - Maximum 43.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
