Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to partner with a senior leader, ensuring calendar integrity, strategic focus, and smooth operations across SMGS/AFX. You will manage complex schedules, coordinate travel, and prepare executives for meetings.
In a fast-paced, global environment, you’ll lead planning rhythms, organize confidential information, and leverage AI tools to increase productivity while maintaining discretion and professional poise.
Do you thrive as a trusted partner to a senior leader, anticipating what’s next and keeping the business moving? Do you believe details matter and want to help a fast-moving leadership team stay focused on what counts?
Do you thrive as a trusted partner to a senior leader, anticipating what’s next and keeping the business moving? Do you believe details matter and want to help a fast-moving leadership team stay focused on what counts?
Partner with EAs and business managers across SMGS to keep work moving between teams
You hold yourself to a high standard of integrity and discretion with confidential information, and you’re polished and professional with leaders inside and outside Amazon. You stay flexible and can change direction quickly. You finish complex tasks with little guidance, move fast when something needs a quick turnaround, and look for new projects and skills. You can act effectively without seeing the full picture, and you solve problems before they reach your leader’s desk.
You’re also curious about AI-powered productivity tools and use them to work smarter, automating routine scheduling, meeting prep, and follow‑ups so you can focus on higher-value work.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑and‑mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers including public sector.
AWS Field Experiences (AFX) is part of the SMGS team. AFX delivers the world’s most advanced, intelligent go‑to‑market (GTM) experience, setting the standard for how AWS Field and Operations teams plan, execute, and optimize business success.
You’ll work in a fast‑moving, often ambiguous environment where you take initiative, complete tasks and projects quickly, and act without needing the full picture. You’ll learn how AFX is organized, what its priorities are, and how it connects to the rest of SMGS, and you’ll build a strong network across the business.
On any given day, you might prepare the Executive for a senior leadership review, reshuffle the week around a high‑priority customer meeting, line up the next staff meeting or off‑site, and follow up on open action items from yesterday’s business review. You’ll bring sharp attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle several critical requests while staying flexible, keeping a sense of humor, and, most of all, staying calm under pressure.
Over time, you’ll build deep, trusted relationships with the Executive and the AFX leadership team. Those relationships will turn into strong partnerships, with chances to take on special projects, more responsibility, and long‑term career growth.
This role requires you to work from the office during the team’s core business hours.
