Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Executive Assistant to support our Vice President of AWS Legal, providing high-level administrative support and managing relationships with key executives and stakeholders worldwide.

You will operate in a fast-paced, high‑tech environment, driving strategic initiatives, planning cycles, and complex calendar management while maintaining composure and proactive problem-solving across global teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and proactively support the Vice President of AWS Legal with strong collaboration and the ability to partner with the Admin Community on complex calendar management initiatives.
  • Serve as a business partner ensuring strategic, proactive and thoughtful support of our yearly organizational planning cycles.
  • Field inquiries by researching appropriate resources and/or connecting with the appropriate teams to resolve.
  • Organize and support recurring staff meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for quarterly all-hands and Associate General Counsel (AGC) sessions.
  • Drive and own space management initiatives to include management of team space, moves and re‑configurations.
  • Support employee morale (team events, org‑wide events, celebrations, etc.).
  • Maintain a strong executive presence and reliable desk coverage to ensure seamless support for time-sensitive matters.
  • Support efforts to track headcount, report out, and open requisitions, as requested.

Job description

We're seeking an Executive Assistant to support our Vice President of AWS Legal, who leads our global legal team serving Amazon Web Services’ businesses. Our team provides legal guidance and support for AWS operations worldwide. You will provide high-level administrative support to the Vice President; help manage relationships with key internal executives and stakeholders and support our mission of enabling AWS's innovation.

This role requires a professional who excels in fast-paced environments, demonstrating exceptional flexibility and adaptability while maintaining strategic thinking, operational excellence, and proactive problem-solving capabilities. You must be adept at creating, planning, and executing projects from inception to completion, seamlessly transitioning between complex tasks and priorities with precision and composure. You will need to integrate smoothly into our leadership ecosystem, providing sophisticated operational support while consistently anticipating and addressing the Vice President's needs in the context of AWS's dynamic legal challenges.

We will depend on your quick thinking, your passion, and your energy to be organized, self-motivated, care about the employee experience and your ability to contribute, learn, build, and be challenged. You must have a sense of ownership, be able to drive tight deadlines, and maintain a sense of inclusion across our global teams.

This role requires five (5) days a week in office.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
