- Coordinate the daily operations for the Chief of Communications.
- Communicate with central and campus staff as well as others outside the district in oral and written form.
- Maintain a schedule of appointments, conferences, and interviews for chief and executive directors.
- Schedule and prepare for meetings.
- Organize and manage routine work activities with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks and time.
- Monitor the division budget and prepare the yearly budget.
- Maintain attendance records and submit monthly payroll on Oracle.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Process requests for purchase orders, check requests, and other purchases and payments.
- Handle confidential matters in a timely manner.
- Compile data for reports by researching and summarizing information.
- Ensure the proper processing of all district forms.
- Provide regular feedback to supervisor regarding status of projects or issues.
- Assist with department inventory.
- Organize and maintain files, both paper and electronic.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years of directly related experience
- Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision
- Schedule and prepare for meetings
- Demonstrated problem solving/investigative skills to research and respond to inquiries
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of district personnel
- Demonstrated ability to work with computers and software applications. (Excel, Oracle, Word, Mail Merge)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with sensitive and stressful situations in a professional and confidential manner
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to the concerns and needs of diverse stude
