Responsibilities

• Lead accounting policy and technical accounting activities for a global business unit.
• Provide leadership and oversight across a large accounting organization, including developing senior-level talent.
• Advise senior executives and business leaders on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, Controllers, Legal, Tax, and other executive stakeholders.
• Provide accounting leadership for M&A activity, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and other complex transactions.
• Evaluate complex contracts and business arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
• Develop, interpret, and implement accounting policies across a complex operating environment.
• Ensure consistency and compliance with corporate accounting policies and external reporting requirements.
• Support significant business initiatives and provide accounting guidance as new transactions and business models develop.

We are conducting a confidential search for an accomplished accounting executive to join a highly visible business unit within a Fortune 100 global organization. This individual will provide accounting policy and technical accounting leadership for a multi-billion-dollar revenue business with significant operational complexity and a global footprint.

This is a senior leadership position with exposure to executive management and responsibility for a larger accounting team- over 20 people. The role sits at the intersection of accounting policy, controllership, business operations, and strategic transactions and will serve as a key advisor on complex accounting matters impacting the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting policy and technical accounting activities for a global business unit.
• Provide leadership and oversight across a large accounting organization, including developing senior-level talent.
• Advise senior executives and business leaders on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Partner closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Controllers, Legal, Tax, and other executive stakeholders.
• Provide accounting leadership for M&A activity, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and other complex transactions.
• Evaluate complex contracts and business arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
• Develop, interpret, and implement accounting policies across a complex operating environment.
• Ensure consistency and compliance with corporate accounting policies and external reporting requirements.

• Drive process improvements and strengthen accounting governance, controls, and documentation.

• Public accounting experience and CPA
