EXECUTIVE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

The Executive Accounting Manager will oversee accounting functions, perform accounting tasks not covered by other staff, improve operations, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness. This role supervises the accounts receivable and royalties accounting manager, works with a part-time accounts payable clerk, and the inventory manager. See the job description for more details.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Over five years of overseeing general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements, and managing monthly closes
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent training
  • Deep knowledge of accrual accounting and terminology
  • Expertise in accounting software, databases, spreadsheets, and productivity tools
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to create reports from databases
  • Proven track record of accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in book publishing is a plus but not required
