Job summary

Rwdy, Inc. is seeking an Execution Drilling Engineer II for Midland, TX. The role supports engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up for safe and efficient drilling programs.

You will ensure objectives are met with high engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection. The position requires a BS in engineering, 7+ years in deep water drilling or related fields, and solid experience in well planning and execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of industry experience, preferably in deep water drilling.
• Experience with well planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Generate and evaluate well conceptual designs to meet agreed objectives.
• Refine well concepts to executable, AFE-level costed designs.
• Contribute to AFE sanction process and internal/external approvals.
• Develop comparative risk assessments of well concepts during Select phases.
• Demonstrate safe behaviors on company property and during work.
• Comply with SSHE policies and standards.
• Apply SSHE Management System to relevant areas.
• Adhere to Well Design and Operations Standards and regulatory guidance.

Job Title:

Execution Drilling Engineer II

Compensation:

$126/hr

Location:

Midland, Texas

Schedule:

14/14 rotation, 12-hour shifts

Additional Compensation Details:

$75/day per diem; two travel days per hitch paid at $1,512 each

Scope

Provide the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.

Ensure well objectives are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to all Level 1 tasks, a Level 2 will:

• Generate and evaluate well conceptual designs to agreed well objectives.
• Refine selected well concepts to achieve an executable and AFE level (CP4) costed well design.
• Provide input into the AFE sanction process and input to other internal and external approvals.
• Develop comparative risk assessments of well concepts during Select work phases.
• Exhibit safe behaviors at all times when on company property and/or on company business.
• Comply with all SSHE policies and standards.
• Apply the SSHE Management System as appropriate to the relevant area of the business.
• Comply with Company's Well Design and Operations Management Standards, Statutory Regulations and Industry Guidance Notes.

Education & Experience

• B.S. degree in engineering or related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of industry experience requirements must be in deep water drilling operations if filling a deep water drilling engineering position.
• Industry experience with well planning and execution.

Technical Experience

• Experience with well design software as well as Microsoft applications.
• Able to effectively organize and communicate thoughts.
• Read, write and speak fluent English.
