Overview
G Street Capital Management seeks a highly motivated Execution & Automation Analyst to support trading across equities, FX, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives. The ideal candidate combines strong market knowledge with programming skills and a passion for optimizing trade execution. This role partners closely with portfolio managers, traders, and technology teams to design, implement, and monitor electronic execution strategies and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day trade execution across multiple asset classes, ensuring efficient order routing and minimal slippage.
- Configure and monitor algorithmic execution strategies (e.g., VWAP, TWAP, smart order routing, iceberg, volatility-scaled slicing).
- Collaborate with developers to enhance execution and post-trade analytics platforms, integrating OMS/EMS with APIs.
- Build and maintain Python/Excel dashboards for real-time exposure, order status, and performance metrics.
- Conduct transaction cost analysis (TCA), liquidity assessments, and post-trade reviews to improve strategy selection.
- Partner with PMs and technologists to design, test, and deploy new automation workflows and trading tools.
- Contribute to operational risk controls by reconciling trades, monitoring fills, and validating automated processes.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in trade execution, trading support, or electronic trading (buy-side, sell-side, or hedge fund).
- Strong understanding of global markets, market microstructure, and multi-asset execution workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and advanced Excel; familiarity with APIs, databases, or scripting for automation.
- Experience with OMS/EMS platforms and algorithmic trading tools.
- Demonstrated ability to perform TCA and use data to optimize execution quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across trading, technology, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Exposure to systematic or quantitative investment strategies.
- Familiarity with risk management concepts, order throttling, or execution under liquidity constraints.
- Experience with cloud platforms, data visualization, or workflow orchestration tools
