Job Objective

The Hospitality Director will oversee operations in our independent living community, catering to the needs of our residents. This individual will collaborate with our dining, housekeeping, activities, and plant operations teams to ensure residents experience care-free retirement living at its finest! The Hospitality Director also ensures visitors and newcomers are made welcome, participates in public relations events to promote the advantages of our community, solicits feedback to improve operational performance, and monitors financial performance to ensure targets are met.

Salaried, full-time, 40+ hours/week

Job Standards
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in hospitality management or human services field.
  2. A minimum of three years’ management experience in a hotel or independent living setting.
  3. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communications skills, with strong ability to relate effectively with others on individual basis, as well as in large groups.
  4. Demonstrated record of positive outcomes, including customer satisfaction, quality of services, and fiscal responsibility.
  5. Proven knowledge of and ability to apply good management and leadership techniques, including coaching & development, budgeting, change management, process improvement, etc.
  6. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  7. Strong computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Office365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as various customer database applications.
  8. Knowledgeable of Fair Housing Act, Elder Justice Act, regulations and guidelines pertaining to senior housing is preferred.
  9. Able to safely perform essential functions of the job without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
