Job description

Job Description

Our Manufacturing & Supply Division is committed to being the most trusted supplier of bio-pharmaceuticals worldwide. Our facilities, along with external contractors, suppliers, and partners, create an interdependent global manufacturing network dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable supplies to customers and patients on time, every time.

Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through planning, sourcing, manufacturing, inventory management, packaging, and delivery. We collaborate across Marketing, Finance, and Manufacturing to develop robust demand and supply plans, ensuring products reach the right customers, at the right place, at the right time.

The Value Chain Leader (VCL) serves as the primary contact between Manufacturing Operating Units and one or more Commercial Customer Business Lines (CBL). The role involves developing supply strategies for new pipeline oncology products and designing supply chains. The VCL significantly impacts cost, quality, customer service, and compliance, thereby influencing commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities include influencing and managing initiatives within the end-to-end supply chain, driving strategies, supporting commercial goals, and providing oversight. The role requires extensive knowledge of large molecule operations, technology platforms, LEAN supply chain principles, regulatory, financial, quality, compliance, commercialization, and lifecycle management. Regular collaboration with senior leaders across divisions is essential to align product and supply strategies with organizational goals.

Primary responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute supply strategies for new oncology pipeline products aligned with division and company strategies.
  2. Enhance value creation through product supply strategies, influencing process scale and design, incorporating external trends.
  3. Improve supply responsiveness by reducing cycle times, enhancing customer service, and reducing working capital.
  4. Represent the Manufacturing Division on CBL Leadership teams, advising on risks and opportunities.
  5. Align Product Master Plans with franchise strategies, focusing on cost, quality, service, and compliance.
  6. Identify opportunities to improve product profitability and lifecycle management.
  7. Support portfolio reviews for consolidation and cost containment.
  8. Design scalable, optimized product value chains to meet evolving needs.
  9. Manage supply chain risks, continually updating mitigation strategies.
  10. Develop and lead a high-performing team of Product Leaders.

Education:

  • B.A./B.S. or higher in Engineering, Science, or related field, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in biologics or vaccines operations and technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Cross-functional business, management, and operations experience with supply chain knowledge.
  • Strong persuasion, influence, confidence, proactive mindset, and accountability.
  • Strategic, commercial thinking with a company-wide decision-making approach.
