Job summary

CPV Ltd in Romsey area is seeking an Extrusion Setter/Operative to join a modern production facility. You will help set extruders and downstream equipment, run lines across shifts, and maintain product quality according to specifications. The role includes night shift possibilities, overtime, and a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to extrusion equipment, plus relevant NVQ/GCSE qualifications and a forklift licence. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Manufacturing would be an advantage.
• 5 GCSEs including maths would be an advantage.
• IT qualification in Word and Excel is beneficial.
• Fork truck licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality extruded product on shift.
• Assist with extrusion line setting and operation.
• Head, die and pin changing and setting.
• Clean barrels and screws; support start-up/shut-down.
• Monitor quality per specification and record checks.
• Move materials using fork truck and manual handling.
• Support extrusion trials and aim for optimum production.
• Keep workspace clean and maintain good housekeeping.
• Follow operating procedures and notify supervisor of issues.
