Ryan LLC seeks a Motor Fuels Tax Consultant to join a collaborative team. You will research federal, multi-state, and local fuels tax issues, prepare refund claims, and communicate findings to management while gathering data and supporting invoices.
The role emphasizes accuracy, client interaction, and use of Access/Excel tools. Travel up to 10-20% may be required.
The Motor Fuels Tax Consultant (“Consultant”) works with a team to identify tax savings for clients and to gain an understanding of the client’s methodology for computing each component of fuels tax. This includes researching and analyzing federal, multi-state and local fuels tax issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other degree w/ Masters in Business Discipline or JD. Must have 9 hours of Accounting or the ability to substitute technical courses for accounting hours with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a Major GPA of 3.25 or higher. One to three years related accounting and auditing experience required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook and Internet navigation and research.
Valid driver’s license required.
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
