Ryan LLC seeks a Senior Analyst to prepare business and security valuation reports for tax compliance, financial reporting, and fiduciary purposes. You will interact with C-level executives via teleconferencing, phone, and email to convey findings.
Ideal candidates have a strong finance background, hands-on valuation experience, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Access. The role requires in-depth analysis of multiple valuation methodologies and collaboration with client teams.
The Senior Analyst prepares business and security valuation reports and conducts these for tax compliance, financial reporting regulations, and strategic/fiduciary duty purposes. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in accounting and finance and the ability to interact with the executive leadership of client companies including Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers via teleconference, phone, and email.

The job requires a strong grasp of the following analyses:
Determines appropriate discounts for lack of marketability and lack of control for equity securities. Perform benchmarking, analysis of financial statements, and economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries. Draft and assist in the preparation of memos and reports. Research and review country-specific tax and transfer pricing regulations.
Education and Experience: Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics because of the complexity of the work and at least four years of financial analyst related experience required.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. In addition, experience with Access and PowerPI is a bonus. Knowledge of creating VB macros in MS Excel, MS Word or MS Access will be a plus. Experience with research databases such as CapitalIQ and other tools is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at the computer. Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary.
