  • One year of experience in healthcare enrollment, community outreach, patient navigation, customer service, social services, or related field preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The Exchange Enrollment Facilitator (EEF) provides direct one-on-one assistance to individuals seeking health coverage through Medicaid and Nevada Health Link Marketplace health insurance plans. The EEF supports individuals through the enrollment process, including completing applications, submitting required documentation, resolving eligibility issues, completing renewals and redeterminations, and navigating post-enrollment needs. The EEF also provides health insurance education and assists consumers with understanding eligibility, reporting, and Medicaid community requirements. This position works primarily in community-based settings throughout southern Nevada, with a focus on improving access to health coverage for uninsured, underinsured, and underserved populations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide one-on-one enrollment assistance for Nevada Medicaid, Nevada Check Up, and Nevada Health Link Marketplace plans.
  • Conduct eligibility screenings and assist consumers with applications, renewals, redeterminations, and required documentation.
  • Resolve eligibility issues, application discrepancies, and enrollment barriers.
  • Follow up with consumers regarding application status, documentation requirements, and renewal deadlines.
Consumer Education & Customer Service
  • Educate consumers on health insurance programs, benefits, eligibility requirements, and the Nevada Health Link portal.
  • Listen actively to consumer needs and provide clear, accurate, and compassionate guidance.
  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, community partners, and staff.
Community Outreach & Engagement
  • Conduct community outreach, enrollment events, educational presentations, and engagement activities to increase awareness of available health coverage programs among uninsured and underinsured populations.
  • Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, enrollment drives, and outreach activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, churches, and social service agencies.
  • Connect consumers with healthcare, financial assistance, and community resources as appropriate.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with all Nevada Health Link, Medicaid, grant, and organizational documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of consumer interactions, enrollment activities, and case notes within the EMR and designated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Nevada Health Link regulations, Medicaid requirements, HIPAA standards, and organizational policies.
  • Protect the confidentiality of patient information and maintain secure records.
  • Stay informed of changes to Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace policies and procedures.
Program Support & Professional Development
  • Train and support staff regarding Medicaid, Medicare, Nevada Health Link, and insurance-related processes.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, quality improvement activities, and outreach initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed established enrollment, renewal, outreach, documentation, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Requirements

Education & Licensure
  • High school diploma or GED - required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Exchange Enrollment Facilitator (EEF) certification within 60 days of hire. -required

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Frequent sitting. Manual dexterity. Good reading eyesight and vision for close work. Ability to communicate by speaking and hearing in person or on the phone. Ability to travel to various locations. Work is performed in clinic settings, community locations, partner sites, and occasional outreach events throughout Southern Nevada.
