Job summary

JOB GOALS

The purpose of this position is to provide an educational atmosphere in which special education students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for academic, intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. The ESS Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students and results in academic achievement at Casa Blanca Community School.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education – Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university and a valid state certification in Special Education for K-12; ESL endorsement preferred.
• Experience – At least one year of student teaching and/or approved internship.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive background check.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

STARTING SALARY: $53,690
