Job summary

The position reports to the classroom teacher and principal, and uses the district salary scale (N1) with a salary range of $22,039 to $23,194 plus a $1,880 supplement. Prior paraprofessional experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Candidate must possess good moral character.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivering instructions to students.
• Maintains a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Assists in preparing and developing teaching aids and materials.
• Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supports teachers with IEP goals and instructional plans as directed.
• Assists in school activities such as field trips and library tasks.
