Job summary

Summit Home Care in New York is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our family-owned agency. Provide in-home healthcare, assist with daily activities, accompany clients to medical appointments, and support families with caregiving tasks.

Requirements include active NY HHA certification, government ID, SSN and work authorization if needed, two letters of recommendation, a recent physical, TB screening, flu shot, rubella and rubeola titers, and a current chain-of-custody drug

Qualifications

• Active HHA Certification in New York state.
• Government issued ID, Social Security Card and work authorization if needed.
• 2 recommendation letters.
• Recent physical.
• TB screening (Quantiferon preferred).
• Flu shot.
• Rubella & Rubeola titer lab work.
• Chain of Custody drug screen no older than 6 months.
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients' residences.
• Perform domestic and household tasks.
• Accompany patients to doctor's appointments.
• Assist with errands, as needed.
• Help clients with personal care.
• Monitor patients and report on their condition.
