The Exceptional Education Teacher Assistant II supports both Exceptional Education and General Education teachers by providing instruction and medically relevant support for students with extensive medical or behavioral needs. Responsibilities include assisting with academic and functional curricula, supporting daily living skills such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting—especially for Medicaid billing—and enhancing students' performance levels, behavioral support, therapy goals, and job skills. Support levels vary based on grade and student needs, with specific transition and community tasks for secondary students. The assistant may work with students individually or in groups, supporting those with challenging behaviors or special needs.
