Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care across the Central Houston and Fort Bend County areas. You will assist clients with daily living activities, follow care plans, and ensure safety while delivering compassionate, personalized support.

We offer part-time and full-time positions with morning shift opportunities, 24/7 client care support, and ongoing training. Earned wage access and mileage reimbursement are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience minimum.
• Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
• Morning shifts are most needed; shifts can be 3–6 hours.
• Must communicate in English, additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (meal prep, personal care, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, transportation).
• Follow the client’s care plan as designed by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment.
• Work within your experience level and maintain safety and competence.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Assists clients with activities of daily living: meal preparation, personal care, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, transportation, etc.
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service the Central Houston and Fort Bend County areas
• Looking for all visit times (daytime availability a plus)–Punctuality and reliability required

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• At least 20 hours per week of availability
• MORNING SHIFTS MOST NEEDED!! 3 to 6 hour shifts lengths!!
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Health Clearance, TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in the United States to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required
