Job summary

Faith Technologies Incorporated in Alabama is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and improve production systems to enhance safety and efficiency, reduce energy use, and streamline operations.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in industrial engineering or related field, 2–3 years manufacturing experience, and a working knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods; travel up to 25% may be required. This role works with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Travel: 10–25% and a standard 7 AM–5 PM schedule, Mon-Fri; occasional schedule flexibility may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitors operations to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
• Ensures processes meet quality standards.
• Reduces waste and addresses production issues.
• Reviews production schedules, processes and specifications.
• Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize issues.
• Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.
• Prepares inventory analysis and procurement orders as needed.
• Designs facility layout and personnel requirements for production operations.
• Develops process documentation for production personnel.
• Ensures safe work processes and addresses safety concerns.
• Generates process reports.
• Participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring programs.
• Performs other related duties as required.

The Industrial Engineer’s goal is to create or improve upon products, systems and designs to make them safer and more efficient. Industrial engineers will examine manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, streamline production times, and minimize the use of resources while ensuring compliance with safety policies. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods will be a key skill for this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering required

Experience: 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment

Travel: 10/25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

• Prepares inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.
• Designs facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations.
• Helps to develop instruction manuals, process documentation for production personnel.
• Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.
• Generates process reports.
• Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
