Job summary

Bridgewater State University is hiring Peer Mentors for the EXCEL program to support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include spending time with mentees, attending campus events, and assisting in their academic and social integration. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students at BSU, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and maintain good academic standing. This role also requires a background check. The hourly rate is $15.00.

Qualifications

• Must have availability during mid-morning/early afternoon on weekdays.
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Be in good standing with BSU – no active judicial sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Spend at least one hour each week with Mentee.
• Attend BSU activities/events with Mentee.
• Support and encourage mentees in developing independent living skills.
