Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Heavy Equipment Operating Experience with multiple types of equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willing to laborer work.
• Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
• Frequent gross body movements such as bending, climbing into equipment, lifting up to 75 lbs, twisting, standing, balancing, stooping, handling materials, moving around hazardous sites.
• Good eye to hand coordination; depth perception required.
• Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends and nights.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate three or more types of heavy equipment (backhoe, trackhoe, scrapers, dozer, excavator, loader, rock trucks, compactors, articulated trucks, crushers, motor graders) to prepare job site and meet required grades.
• Attach and fasten attachments to tractors with clevis or wedge pin hitch.
• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage or power take-off shaft for power to raise/lower/tilt attachments.
• Move levers to control toolbars, carriers, and disks.
• Control hydraulic shovel with hand and foot levers.
• Dig trenches and holes to specified dimensions, remove spoil, and transport materials.
• Follow safety standards and project controls; work weekends/holidays/overtime as required.
• Perform laborer tasks and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Drivesbulldozerinsuccessivepassesoverterraintoraiseorlowerterraintospecifiedgradefollowingmarkingsongradestakesorhandsignals.
• Responsibletoconstruct/gradenewroadways,basecourses,buildingpads,footingexcavationandwaterpondsandtoproperlyslopeandgradetospecifications.
• Responsibletoload,move,levelandgradedirt,rocks,demoedconcreteandothermaterialsinasafeandefficientmannerallinahighpacedenvironmenttomaintainproductiongoals.
• Abilitytomaintaintheinitiativetomaintaintheflowofworkunderminimalsupervision.
• Responsibleofdemolitionofbridgesandotherstructureswithexcavatorsandhydraulichoerams.
• ResponsibletooperateequipmentwithinaPipeCrewenvironmentsuchasanexcavatororloader.
• Responsibleforgeneralhousekeeping,lightmaintenanceofequipment,propercareofequipment,operatingtheequipmentwithoutdamagingitalongwithmaintenancechecksofequipmentincludingreportingusage/utilizationhoursonadailybasis.
• MayworkwithGPSinstalleddevicesondozersandmotorgraders.
• Learn,followandpromoteallsafetystandardsofRalphLWadsworthanditsprojects.
• Workweekend,holiday,and/orovertimeworkastheprojectneedsrequire.
• PerformLaborerworkasrequired
• Performsotherdutiesasassignedbyimmediatesupervisor.
