Job summary

PURIS Corp in Houston, TX is seeking an Excavator Operator- Trenching- Water, Sewer & Storm Lines to support trenchless pipe rehabilitation projects. You will handle daily fleet tasks, operate equipment safely, and assist with installation of liners under supervision of the Operations Manager.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, strong communication, and ability to work in demanding field conditions with a generous benefits package and company-paid programs.

Responsibilities

• Checks and fuels vehicles and performs light mechanical adjustments.
• Sets up trench jacks and assist with equipment repairs.
• Distributes notices to residents and businesses as instructed.
• Repairs manholes and fuses pipe.
• Sets up winches, connects hoses and assists with liner installation.
• Operates inverters, trims liner and handles restoration/cleanup.
• Connects services and sets up equipment per SOPs.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and operates within standards.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operator will conduct all the daily activities associated with Trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Checks and fuels vehicles and performs light mechanical adjustments and assists mechanic in performing repairs on assigned equipment.
• Sets up trench jacks
• Distributes notices to residents and businesses as instructed
• Repairs Manholes
• Fuses Pipe
• Sets up winches and connect hoses
• Assists with install of liner, operates inverter, cut liner
• Restoration and clean up
• Connects services
• Sets up equipment
• Utilizes all safety equipment and follow standard operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

• Incumbent must possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsibilities. Must demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.
• Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must have ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
• Must be able to work in extreme work environments, conditions and confined spaces. Position requires fit physical condition.
