Job summary

Plumstead Quarry, in partnership with H&K Group, Inc., is looking for an Excavator Operator! The position is based at Plumstead Quarry in Doylestown, PA. Experience with a 330 excavator with a hammer is not required but a plus.

The ideal candidate is energetic, safety‑minded, and capable of performing inspections, operating heavy equipment, and delivering excellent service on site. Competitive pay and benefits are offered, with training opportunities within our safety-focused heavy civil team.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school OR six months of related experience and/or training.
• Able to pass practical skills test for excavators and loaders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and to wear PPE as needed.
• Two years of related experience preferred; experience with other heavy equipment is a plus.
• Experience in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries.
• OSHA or other safety certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Performs pre and post trip of equipment daily and fills out inspection sheets.
• Operates excavator with hammer and other heavy equipment on site.
• Moves material and assists in loading trucks or railcars.
• Provides excellent customer service to all on-site customers.
• Maintains haul roads, berms, and stockpiles; ensures proper product blending.
• Conducts routine maintenance and other duties as assigned.
