Vogel Bros. Building Co. in Florida is seeking an Equipment Operator – Water & Wastewater Construction. You will operate and maintain heavy equipment, perform manual tasks, and uphold safety standards on active projects.

• Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment on water & wastewater projects.
• Perform manual tasks such as digging, grading, formwork, concrete work and pipe installation.
• Follow safety procedures, attend safety meetings and set safety standards.
• Support crew by keeping equipment, tools and work areas clean and maintained.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to keep projects on track and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes and forklifts as required.
• Perform manual tasks (digging, grading, formwork, concrete work, pipe install).
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain tools and work areas; keep yards and sites orderly.
• Coordinate with crew and supervisors to meet schedules and quality goals.

Must have reliable transportation to travel to jobsites.

An Equipment Operator is responsible for the quality and completion of all assigned tasks in compliance with Vogel Bros. Building Co. Quality Control and Safety Programs.

Equipment Operator / Tradesman – Water & Wastewater Construction

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, forklifts, etc.).
• Perform manual construction tasks when not operating equipment (digging, grading, formwork, concrete work, pipe installation).
• Follow safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and set the standard for safe operations.
• Support your crew by keeping equipment, tools, and work areas clean and maintained.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to keep projects on track and meet quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with construction equipment operations (water/wastewater a plus).
• Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license required; certifications on equipment preferred.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and perform manual labor outdoors.
• Team player with solid judgment, problem-solving, and time management skills.
