Job summary

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation in Portland, OR is seeking an Operator/Laborer to operate an excavator to load soil into trucks for disposal and assist with general construction tasks. This project is a prevailing wage assignment; the hourly rate will be set by contracted wage determinations and job description, and work is expected to last about 90 days.

You will inspect equipment daily, load trucks, handle small tools, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• HAZWOPER 40-hour training or equivalent
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• CPR training preferred
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, especially excavators
• Must pass drug test and background checks

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper operation
• Load trucks using excavator
• Proficiency with small tools
• Perform additional labor tasks to support construction activities
• Follow all safety policies and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate uncompromising commitment to safety
• Other duties as assigned
