Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks a skilled Equipment Operator to manage power construction equipment for excavation, material movement, and road grading. You will load materials, grade surfaces, and assist in trenching for utilities while maintaining safety on site.

You will inspect equipment, perform routine maintenance, and may train others in safe operation and proper use of tools. This role requires adapting to varied outdoor conditions and complex sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Equipment Operator in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or several types of power construction equipment to excavate, move and/or grade material on construction sites.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• May train employees in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
