About our role

Northern Star Resources have full-time, permanent opportunities for experienced Excavator Operators to join our world-class Thunderbox, Bronzewing and Carosue Dam Operations. These opportunities are offered on an even time 15 shifts on, 13 days off roster.

Here’s what awaits you:

1. Maintain optimal production through the excavation of ore and waste from the mine.
2. Conduct pre-start meetings in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Report hazards when encountering them to ensure a safe work environment.
4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe operation of mobile plant equipment.
5. Work towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Excavator Operator, including 5 years’ experience in an open pit environment. Gold mining experience highly regarded.

Qualification: Current Australian C – Class Drivers licence.

Passion for growth: Interest in gold mining with high regard to safety.
