Job summary

PURIS is hiring for an Excavator-Civil, Underground Wet Utilities-Water, Sewer & Storm in Laredo, TX. This full-time role involves trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation under the direction of the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include equipment setup, repairs, liner installation support, and extensive site restoration.

CDL is preferred. Qualified candidates demonstrate reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work in extreme environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
• Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions and confined spaces.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability in field tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check and fuel vehicles and perform light mechanical adjustments.
• Set up trench jacks and winches; connect hoses and restore sites.
• Distribute notices to residents and businesses as instructed.
• Repair manholes and fuse pipes as required.
• Assist with liner installation and operation of related equipment.
• Restoration and site cleanup after work is finished.
• Set up equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Operate inverter and cut liner; supervise equipment setup.
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operator will conduct all the daily activities associated with Trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Checks and fuels vehicles and performs light mechanical adjustments and assists mechanic in performing repairs on assigned equipment.
• Sets up trench jacks
• Distributes notices to residents and businesses as instructed
• Repairs Manholes
• Fuses Pipe
• Sets up winches and connect hoses
• Assists with install of liner, operates inverter, cut liner
• Restoration and clean up
• Connects services
• Sets up equipment
• Utilizes all safety equipment and follow standard operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

• Incumbent must possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsibilities. Must demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.
• Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must have ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
• Must be able to work in extreme work environments, conditions and confined spaces. Position requires fit physical condition.
