Job summary

Haven Services with Ken Neyer Plumbing & Nixco Plumbing, a premier plumbing and excavation/site-utility contractor serving the greater Cincinnati area, seeks an Excavation/Site Utility Foreman to lead a crew on active projects.

You will supervise daily field operations, operate and coordinate heavy equipment, read plans and ensure safety and budget compliance while delivering quality workmanship on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Excavation and Site-Utility.
• Ability to coordinate and motivate field labor.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ohio Fire main license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a 2-5-person crew.
• Operate heavy excavation equipment.
• Utilize heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill sanitary sewer, storm sewer, gas mains, water mains and fire mains.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries to the job site.
• Sequence pipe installation and workflow for job efficiency.
• Continually inspect work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Responsible for crew safety; ensure a safe work environment per safety program and OSHA.
• Read, analyze and interpret job plans and specifications.
• Layout line and grade using surveying equipment.
• Observe equipment for malfunctions and ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Analyze job cost reports to ensure production stays within budget.
• Review and approve employee time reporting.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Must be able to carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
