Qualifications

• Must be able to operate excavation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required).

Edwards Plumbing & Heating is seeking experienced Excavation Crew Leaders with strong operating skills in heavy equipment. If you have a background in underground sewer and water line work, and want to join a fast-growing company with stable, year-round work — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery (Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Asphalt Equipment)
• Lead a small crew on residential and commercial underground utility jobs
• Break concrete floors to access and repair underground water/sewer lines
• Excavate and replace underground piping outside homes to city sidewalks
• Cut and open roads for utility line repair/replacement up to the city tap (not the main)
• Rebuild catch basins, manholes, and install grease traps

Service Area Includes: Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe, St. Clair, Lenawee, Genesee, Livingston, Lapeer, Shiawassee, Clinton, and Ingham Counties

Qualifications:

• Experience in excavation, plumbing, or underground utilities required
• Must be able to operate excavation equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required)
• Willingness to work year-round in varying weather conditions
