Job summary

HireAligned is seeking a reliable excavation laborer in Troutdale, OR to support excavation teams on active projects. The role involves loading and transporting materials, assisting with digging, and maintaining clean, safe job sites.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Prior excavation experience is a plus; extensive on-the-job training may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record, must provide own transportation to shop or jobsite daily.
• Able to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, push/pull up to 80 lbs, stand or walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to dig/excavate for up to 6 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Load and carry excavation materials for excavators on project sites.
• Assist with excavation tasks including digging holes and trenches.
• Clean up and organize job sites after work. May assist with loading/unloading equipment and materials.
• Operate various excavation equipment if trained (backhoe, mini-excavators, drills, etc.) and drive company vehicles when qualified.

Salary: $18.00 $25.00 per hour | Job Type: Full-time To carry and load excavation materials for excavators working on projects. Assist with various labor related tasks including excavation, hand-digging with a shovel and project clean up. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various excavation equipment, such as a backhoe, drilling/boring machine and a bursting machine. Essential functions: Check daily assignments and coordinate with assigned crew foreman. Assist technicians with excavation needs, including digging of holes and trenches. Clean up job sites. May assist technicians with loading and unloading of equipment and materials. May assist with lifting heavy materials, such as large sticks of pipe or bags of concrete. Additional responsibilities: Those with previous training and experience may operate various excavation equipment, including miniexcavators, backhoes, drilling/boring machines, bursting machines, jackhammers, and concrete saws. Those with a valid driver's license and good driving record may drive various company vehicles, including service vans or dump trucks. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license, good driving record, and must provide own transportation to shop or jobsite each day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs, push and pull up to 80 lbs, and stand or walk for up to 8 hours each day. Must be able to dig/excavate for up to 6 hrs in a day. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background test and UA. Prior excavation experience is a plus!
