J. Blanton Plumbing in Columbus, OH is seeking an Excavation Helper to join our Sewer Installation Team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training while you assist experienced technicians with digging, trenching, and preparing job sites for sewer and water line work.

You will learn loading and staging tools, supporting installations and repairs, and maintaining safe, organized worksites in outdoor conditions. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with digging, trenching, and backfilling for sewer and water line projects.
• Help prepare, load, and stage tools, materials, and equipment for jobs.
• Support installation and repair of water and sewer lines, laterals, and cleanouts.
• Assist in locating and addressing leaks or damaged piping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
• Follow instructions from crew leaders and work as part of a team.
• Operate basic hand tools and assist with light equipment use under supervision.
