Job summary

Valmet Flow Control Inc. in Fergus Falls, MN seeks a certification specialist to secure Ex-Hazardous Location certifications and maintain compliance for products across lifecycle.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality teams and external bodies to ensure documentation and certificates meet international standards. Responsibilities include coordinating design changes with certification bodies, supporting QMS updates, and creating and revising QMS documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree or equivalent related experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Project management experience is advantageous.
• CAD experience is advantageous; training can be provided.
• Understanding of Ex-Hazardous Locations and Quality Systems per UL, FM, CSA, IEC, and ATEX.
• Knowledge of Stonel products and configurations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external certification agencies to obtain Ex-Hazardous Location certifications for new products.
• Coordinate with certification bodies regarding proposed product design changes impacting Ex-Hazardous Location certificates and related technical documentation.
• Work with external agencies responsible for QMS verification concerning updates to product documentation related to Ex-Hazardous Location products.
• Act as a key contact for coordinating activities related to products intended for use in explosive atmospheres.
• Support Design Engineering with bill of materials data migration activities.
• Perform management system-related tasks associated with certification documentation requirements.
• Perform management system-related tasks related to equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Create, review, and revise QMS documentation as required.
