United Ground Express, Inc. in Newark, NJ seeks a reliable Ground Services Agent to clean aircraft interiors, restock lavatories, perform daily checks, and maintain safety and efficiency while coordinating with hub services teams.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma, fluent English, and can operate a computer or tablet. Lift up to 70 lbs and work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to operate a computer or tablet to enter data.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping and lifting.

Responsabilités

• Remove all trash from aircraft and clean and restock lavatories and magazines.
• Clean aircraft floor, galley, seats, seat back pockets and trays.
• Complete daily equipment checks and related checklists including security searches.
• Use personal protective equipment, including face shield and hearing protection.
• Maintain professional working relationships with employees and airport staff.
• Ensure operations are safe, caring, dependable and efficient at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with hub services agents.

• Remove all trash from aircraft and clean and restock all lavatories and soiled magazines


• Clean aircraft floor, galley, all seats, seat back pockets, and tray tables


• Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches


• Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection


• Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities


• Ensure the operation functions in a safe, caring, dependable and efficient manner at all times


• Perform other duties, as assigned


• Effectively communicate with all hub services agents

Qualifications and minimum requirements

• High school diploma, GED or preferred


• Minimum of 18 years old


• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently


• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data


• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces


• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment


• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags


• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements


• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship


• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need


• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
