KI Lumber & Building Materials, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an EWP Sawyer I in Lexington, KY to operate and maintain saws for EWP components. You will interpret shop drawings, ensure product quality, and collaborate with the team to keep workflows efficient.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or vocational training and 1–3 years of sawyer experience. Safety compliance is essential, and opportunities for advancement exist within the EWP program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training in woodworking or machinery preferred.
• 1–3 years of EWP sawyer experience preferred.
• Experience operating cutting machinery.
• Hands-on experience in woodworking or carpentry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate and maintain saws to cut wood pieces for EWP components including roof, floor, I‑joist, or LVL systems.
• Monitor inventory and flow of materials and supplies relating to assembly process.
• Inspect and ensure equipment functionality daily to prevent malfunctions and notify leader of any equipment issues.
• Interpret shop drawings and/or computerized production software.
• Examine final products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Organize and store materials efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
