Job summary

Boise Cascade in Washington state is seeking an EWP Cutter - New Hire. This role supports yard operations including receiving, storing, and shipping/building loads, while operating a forklift and ensuring loads match orders before departure.

You will provide customer service and maintain housekeeping in a fast-paced distribution environment. Ideal candidates understand warehouse operations, can perform basic math, and adapt to all weather conditions; knowledge of building materials and OSHA

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Must understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions.
• Working conditions are in a warehouse operations environment with considerable physical exertion.
• Will perform duties in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of building materials is a plus; forklift operation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for an EWP Cutter - New Hire! Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below.

Responsibilities

Material Handlers perform daily distribution yard activities for a facility. Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads). Operate forklift. Ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer service activities. Incumbents have broad in?depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations. Material Handlers possess alertness and adaptation to warehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Material Handlers demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of building material products a plus. Ability to understand and measure lengths of material required. General warehouse experience, including industrial forklift operation, and/or knowledge of warehouse work environment preferred.
