Job summary

Expleo Group USA is seeking a seasoned Wiring Industrialization Engineer to support aerospace production readiness of aircraft wiring systems. You will bridge design, manufacturing, quality, and MRB, providing hands‑on shop‑floor support while ensuring EWIS compliance and airworthiness.

The role requires 5+ years in aircraft wiring/EWIS, a relevant engineering degree, and strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years supporting aircraft wiring/EWIS in an aerospace OEM or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft wiring systems, harness practices, and EWIS regulations.
  • Hands-on shop-floor wiring installation and MRB-adjacent experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • EWIS industrialization and production readiness for wiring systems and harnesses.
  • Ensure designs are producible, installable, and compliant with standards.
  • Support transition from design to production, identifying installation risks and corrective actions.
  • Provide on-site engineering support for production and installation issues.
  • Support MRB activities related to wiring issues and deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA EWIS requirements and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with Electrical Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and MRB teams.

We're growing our network of experienced Wiring Industrialization Engineers (EWIS) to support current and upcoming aerospace manufacturing initiatives. Our engineers will support onsite aerospace production by ensuring aircraft wiring systems are producible, compliant, and production‑ready. This role bridges design, manufacturing, quality, and MRB, providing hands‑on shop‑floor support while ensuring EWIS compliance, safety, and airworthiness under production conditions.

Responsibilities
EWIS Industrialization & Production Readiness
  • Support the industrialization of aircraft wiring systems, including harnesses, connectors, splices, clamps, back shells, and protective hardware
  • Ensure wiring designs are producible, installable, and compliant with industry and customer wiring standards
  • Support transition from design release to production by identifying installation risks and driving corrective actions
Shop Floor & MRB Support (Wiring‑Focused)
  • Provide on‑site engineering support for production and installation issues related to aircraft wiring systems
  • Support MRB activities related to:
  • Wire insulation damage
  • Harness deviations
  • Connector, termination, or shielding issues
  • Routing, separation, and protection non‑conformances
  • Define acceptable rework and repair solutions while maintaining EWIS compliance
EWIS Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance with applicable FAA/EASA EWIS requirements and internal wiring procedures
  • Support adherence to SAE AS50881 and equivalent wiring installation standards
  • Review and validate wiring changes for safety, flammability, and continued airworthiness
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Interface with:
  • Electrical Design Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Quality and MRB teams
  • Production and installation personnel
  • Support wiring‑related engineering changes, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Compile and generate progress reports to convey deliverable objectives
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of urgency in supporting production needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years supporting aircraft wiring/EWIS in an aerospace OEM or production environment
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Aircraft wiring systems and installations
  • Harness manufacturing and installation practices
  • EWIS regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Experience in industrialization, production support, or MRB‑adjacent roles
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, EWIS drawings, and aircraft installation manuals
  • Experience working in an embedded engineering services role is preferred
  • Hands‑on exposure to shop‑floor wiring installation and integration is highly desirable

Please note that the compensation range displayed is a generalized range for pipelining purposes and may not reflect the final range for a specific role. Final compensation will be determined based on the role, skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
