Qualifications

• Experience in conceptual/preliminary structural sizing for aircraft.
• Strong aeroelastic analysis capabilities (flutter, whirl-flutter).
• Proficiency with cross-sectional analysis tools and Python automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual-level airframe architecture for fuselage, wing, tail, and nacelle structures.
• Size major components using classical methods and simple FEM tools.
• Assess aeroelastic behavior at the conceptual level using tools like ASWING.
• Collaborate on loads, OML, and sizing cases (maneuver, gust, fatigue).
• Evaluate alternative structural layouts for weight, manufacturability, and cost.
• Lead material selection trades (composite vs metallic vs hybrid).
• Evaluate packaging and volume allocation including battery, powertrain, and avionics bays.
• Generate structural weight estimates and track margins.
