Job summary

Pivotal seeks an eVTOL Flight Instructor I to lead structured ground, simulator, and aircraft training for customers. You will conduct pre-flight planning, briefings, and debriefs, while building knowledge and operational discipline to safely operate Pivotal aircraft.

Candidates with FAA credentials and aviation training experience are preferred. The role requires delivering training across locations, maintaining records, and updating materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of aviation training or flight instruction experience.
• Experience delivering training in structured environments (classroom, simulator, flight, public safety, OEM, corporate, military, Part 61 or 141).
• Strong ability to brief, teach, coach, assess, and debrief trainees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ground, simulator, and aircraft training for Pivotal customers and eVTOL pilots.
• Conduct pre-flight planning, briefings, ground lessons, simulators, flights, and debriefs; document outcomes.
• Support aircraft ground handling and training location activities as needed.
• Explain aviation concepts, systems, and safety in a clear, customer-focused way.
• Maintain training records, progress notes, and program materials.
• Update training content, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Identify readiness concerns and training gaps; communicate via proper channels.
• Adhere to laws, procedures, safety standards, and training program expectations.
• Work safely following operating procedures and risk controls.
