Job summary

Pivotal is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance technician for on-site work at our Palo Alto HQ. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on eVTOL-related products, with a focus on airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in aircraft maintenance, an FAA A&P certificate, and strong communication skills to interface with customers on-site and remotely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance or related high-reliability assembly environments.
• FAA A&P certificate required; equivalent military experience accepted.
• Ability to interface with customers on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Pivotal aircraft and products including structural repairs and components and/or parts replacements.
• Conduct functional tests, system checks, and post-maintenance verifications to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Use diagnostic tools, including mechanical, electrical, and software-based systems, to troubleshoot system faults.
• Travel to events, demos, and customer locations to provide on-site maintenance support and field service.
• Provide remote technical support for customer- performed maintenance via video calls and guided troubleshooting.
• Accurately document maintenance actions, findings, and service reports to support continuous improvement.
