Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is hiring a Facilities Attendant responsible for keeping the casino, offices, and tribal properties clean, orderly, and safe. Duties follow standard procedures and training to deliver the Five Star Experience to guests and team members.

You will lead by example, coach others, operate cleaning equipment, dust and polish, and ensure compliance with internal controls and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Background suitability investigation required.
  • Must obtain Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees by upholding our mission.
  • Lead by example and deliver the Five Star Experience through service standards.
  • Coach team members to develop skills and resources to perform duties.
  • Clean and polish marble surfaces and trim.
  • Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as buffers, waxers and carpet shampooers.
  • Clean or vacuum hallways, lobbies, restrooms and other areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
  • Dust furniture and equipment; wash walls, windows and fixtures.
  • Empty wastebaskets; transport trash to disposal area.
  • Replenish restroom supplies; ensure safety compliance.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive appearance of the casino, offices and buildings, or other Tribal properties in a clean, orderly, and safe manner by performing the duties listed below according to standard operating procedures and training standards. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Use all heavy equipment for cleaning such as buffer, waxes, carpet shampooer, and others.
  • Clean or vacuum hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, elevator landing stairways, escalators and other work areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floor.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metalwork.
  • Wash walls, ceiling and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels and sills.
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
  • Caution management regarding complaints about misuse of property.
  • Communicate job issues appropriately and only based on facts.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED)

  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
