Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment, supporting infection prevention through cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and linen management.

The role covers floor care, waste transport, linen distribution, pest-control support, and office/event setup in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of institutional cleaning experience preferred.
• Previous experience with infection control procedures preferred.
• Previously knowledge of cleaning chemical use and safe handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas, including clinical, non-clinical, and public spaces.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces using approved products and procedures.
• Follow established infection prevention protocols, including isolation, precautionary cleaning, and PPE use as applicable to assigned areas.
• Collect, handle, transport, and dispose of waste, including general waste, regulated medical waste, and recyclable materials, in accordance with facility policies.
• Handle, transport, and stage soiled and clean linen in accordance with infection control and linen management procedures.
