Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a dedicated environmental services teammate for a night-weekend full-time role in Hendersonville, NC. You will clean patient and public areas, stock supplies, and follow infection control procedures to ensure a safe facility environment.

Responsibilities include using bed management tech, handling waste, and maintaining cleanliness across units. Requires English fluency, basic computer skills, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills; use of mouse and keyboard.
• Must be able to operate a computer using standard office software.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to interact with patients.
• Ability to read Safety Data Sheets and product labels.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including trash collection and surface sanitization.
• Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions and supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Uses Bed Management system to track bed throughput with handheld tech.
• Operates cleaning equipment and carts as needed.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pickup.
• Disposes of waste, including biohazardous waste.
• Cleans and disinfects areas with bodily fluids per standards.
• Documents all work performed.
• Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, offices in assigned areas.
