Job summary

Med Center Health is seeking an Environmental Services team member to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient environments. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and common areas and ensuring proper handling of supplies and waste.

The role requires following procedures, using approved chemicals, and preparing PPE and carts for daily operations to support patient care and facility safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Prepares and submits necessary paperwork in a complete and timely manner (i.e. survey data, discharge or transfer documentation, etc).
• Prepares Environmental Services cart with needed supplies.
