Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring an Environmental Services Technician II (EVS Tech II) for the 1st shift. This full-time role cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, offices, and common areas, following infection prevention and safety standards.

The position requires no prior experience, though 1-2 years in Customer Service or Environmental Services is preferred. You will operate floor care equipment, handle regulated waste, and participate in training and quality initiatives to support a safe hospital

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; related experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of Customer Service
• 1-2 years of Environmental Services or Sterile Field Training preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.
• Perform occupied, discharge, and specialty cleaning using approved techniques.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment.
• Handle and dispose of regulated medical, hazardous, and general waste.
• Report maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement and department meetings.

As a member of this team, the main duties will be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.Environmental Services (EVS) Technician II is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. This role performs cleaning, disinfection, patient room turnover, floor care, waste disposal, and specialty cleaning projects while following infection prevention and safety standards.
