While executing the assigned tasks, EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection infection prevention and patient experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Infection Prevention Meet Department Standards and Goals Customer Service Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Demonstrates oral communication skills required to interact effectively with patients and staff. Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to promote and maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with team members, patients, visitors, doctors and others. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.
