Job summary

The Baptist Health Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for daily cleaning, disinfection, and maintaining a safe, hygienic patient environment. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff while upholding infection prevention standards and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Primary duties include cleaning and disinfection, meeting department standards, and delivering excellent customer service.

While executing the assigned tasks, EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection infection prevention and patient experience.
