The EVS Tech I reports to the Environmental Services Manager and is responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfection of patient and non-patient areas to support a safe, sanitary healing environment. This position has frequent interaction with staff, visitors, and patients and is expected to demonstrate courteous, service-oriented communication.
Education: High school diploma or GED, preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: N/A
Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting, preferred.
This position spends the majority of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasional sitting may be required while performing work in a standard office environment (e.g., documentation, training). The employee must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. This position may be exposed to industrial-strength cleaning chemicals, body fluids, and communicable diseases and must follow all required safety and infection prevention practices.
